I'm late but thank you for this offering!! Love being your audience!
I have some material I've been learning, from my therapists white shamanistic (deceased) mentor, about trauma survivors becoming exhausted by doing, and under stress feeling like there is nowhere to belong. In his model he describes it as having a wound in the chaos quadrant of life (his model is a circle with 4 quadrants that we cycle through in our lives). Wounds cause a "richochet pattern " where you seek safety elsewhere and miss out on other parts of a full life cycle. Coming from chaos comes with a lottttt of gifts because you go through separation and transformation over and over and you get a lot done between those two rites of passage. But then you miss out on lovingly integrating your past selves, grieving/falling completely apart, being lovingly held by other people, and claiming a new role in your community. I share this because it's relevant to me and on my mind right now, and I was reminded of it while listening. If you're interested I can share some material with you
I love the movie review bullshit and I'd love to hear more haha!
Also I have thoughts about growing up on the internet. I was an internet loner and lurker on corporate social media as a teen and I feel like I have something in common with the covid kids. I'm 26, maybe a little older than what you were looking for, but it I have time I'll write up some thoughts and send them over
Every post from Téllez sparks thought and growth within me. One of the few writers who is consistently brilliant and adds depth to my life. I’m constantly telling my friends to check out the Cyborg Memoirs Patreon and if you, dear reader, are sleeping on this, then correct that immediately.
